BIO

I am a twenty-something writer, meaning I have twenty-something pens lying about the house, none of which I can find at the moment. When I do manage to wrestle a chewed biro from the neighbour's dog, I write children's comedy and fantasy adventure fiction.

In the last couple of years, my stories were shortlisted for the Times/Chicken House Children's Novel Award 2020 and longlisted both for Undiscovered Voices 2022 and for the #WriteMentor Children's Novel in Progress Award 2021. Prior to this, I was thrice longlisted for the Bath Children's Novel Award and shortlisted for the Wells Festival of Literature Story for Children Competition. One of thirty-eight writers selected for the London Library's 2019-2020 Emerging Writers Programme, I volunteer for SCBWI British Isles and have worked in both teaching and publishing.
